Whether you've joined us for horse drawn sleigh rides, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, downhill or cross country skiing, or a combination of all these spectacular, cold season sports, the ranch provides the perfect setting for a nature-based winter adventure.

Outdoors, ice crystals dance and glitter in the late afternoon air. A deep blue sky is tinged with crimson at its edge where it reaches down to touch the forest. Wild animal tracks of all kinds weave a tapestry through the frozen landscape. Magnificent vistas of nearby peaks and valleys as well as views extending 70 miles to the Adirondack foothills abound. The gentle, rolling terrain around Hilltop Ranch is home on the range for the turkey, coyote, fox, pheasant and deer. The Ranch provides a stunning backdrop as you ride over miles of well-groomed trails and into acres of powder filled meadows. Winter scenery and wildlife abounds, so don't forget to bring your camera!

Indoors, a crackling fire glows in one of many of the ranch fireplaces, a comfortable sofa with vintage fabrics beckons, and soft music resonates in the cathedral-style living room. An aroma of homemade bread, mingled with the promising scents of a gourmet meal in the works, wafts throughout the ranch house.

Hilltop Ranch welcomes a select number of guests throughout the months of late December, January and February, and March when they are assured of the best winter conditions. Driving in to the ranch is no problem, as the town regularly snow plows the local roads.

Our close proximity to local ski resorts such as Toggenberg, Song Mountain and Labrador Mountain, also makes the ranch a great destination for alpine skiers who prefer the genuinely friendly ambiance and personalized services that cannot be found in larger resort settings. We believe that warm western hospitality, dependable snow, nearby Adirondack Wilderness, beautifully groomed cross country ski and snowshoe trails, quality amenities, and a great staff create unusual value that makes Hilltop Ranch a very special Winter destination.
